Protecting nature’s treasures with every sustainable initiative!
Embracing sustainability, enriching your journey
Sustainability is woven into the fabric of everything we do. Our dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the Masai Mara extends to every aspect of our operations, from energy consumption to waste management.
We are proud to run entirely on solar energy, harnessing the power of the sun to meet 100% of our energy needs. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but also ensures a clean and renewable source of power for our guests to enjoy.
In addition, we implement innovative waste management practices. Our waste treatment plant produces cooking gas from organic waste, minimising our reliance on non-renewable resources. We also minimise water consumption by recycling toilet flush water and practicing rainwater harvesting.
Human and food waste is treated and transformed into nutrient-rich fertiliser, enriching our organic garden, where we grow fruits and vegetables. We strictly avoid single-use plastics, and any plastic waste left by guests is disposed of responsibly in treatment centers.
We purify our water using an in-house RO plant and provide bottled glass water for safaris and rooms, eliminating the need for plastic bottles.
We bake our bread, make fresh juices and yoghurts, and use environmentally friendly detergents and soaps made from fruit extracts. Our commitment to sustainability extends to every detail of our operations.
Gentle Footprints in the Wild!
Furthermore, our camp is built using only local materials, such as stones and canvas, minimising the environmental impact of construction. Even the appliances in your room are designed for energy efficiency, with the fridge consuming no electricity.
