Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and driven to Wilson Airport for a scenic 45-minute flight to the Masai Mara. Revel in the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley as you soar above. After reaching the Masai Mara, enjoy a short game drive en route to Ilora Retreats, where a delightful lunch awaits, offering stunning views of the Mara plains. In the afternoon, go on an exhilarating game drive, witnessing the diverse wildlife that inhabits this iconic landscape. Return at dusk for drinks and stories around the campfire before a sumptuous dinner. Fall asleep to the enchanting night sounds of the Masai Mara.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Begin your day with a serene yoga session or an enlightening bush walk, where an expert guide will introduce you to the region’s rich flora, fauna, and cultural heritage. Enjoy a bush breakfast amidst the natural beauty of the Mara. Mid-morning, while your kids can participate in fun activities like spear throwing, clay making, and bead crafting, you might explore farm-to-table experiences or attend a Masai cultural talk.

After a leisurely lunch, set out for an exhilarating afternoon game drive, immersing yourself in the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Return to the camp in the late afternoon, where you can relax by the pool or enjoy a serene spa treatment (optional at additional cost). Later, gather for high tea with a tribal dance performance before heading out on another exciting game drive. As evening falls, unwind with a sundowner on the sky deck, followed by a gourmet BBQ dinner under the stars. End your day with an outdoor movie at Bushflix, enjoying the cinematic experience in the heart of the wild.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve

For a more memorable experience, enjoy a hot-air balloon safari (optional at an additional cost). Glide over the Mara plains, witnessing a spectacular sunrise and the diverse wildlife below. Upon landing, savor a freshly prepared bush breakfast.

Return to Ilora Retreats, and you may either rest or enjoy other beautiful experiences. After lunch, visit a nearby village or optionally you may engage in meaningful community work. The afternoon offers another thrilling game drive. As dusk settles, enjoy a sundowner on the sky deck, followed by a champagne toast and conservation talks by rangers and experts. Conclude the day with stargazing on the sky deck, where you can serenely watch the beautiful African night sky, or indulge in the unique star bed experience.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi, Departure

On your final day, head out on an early morning game drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at Ilora Retreats. If you are departing the Mara on a late afternoon flight, there will be an opportunity for one more game drive and a delicious lunch back at the camp. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy your onward journey back home, reminiscing about your memorable Masai Mara adventure with Ilora Retreats.
